About me as a therapist .... I've been practicing as a therapist for over 10 years, working with people of all backgrounds, ages, religious beliefs, relationship styles, disabilities and cultures. The various testimonials on this site might give you an idea of what clients think of me (see right, for example). I can assure you of a warm welcome and friendly acceptance, whatever concerns you bring, I believe we all deserve kindness, support and understanding, whatever our situation, and I'm fundamentally optimistic about people's ability to make sense of even the most difficult experiences and to live rich and rewarding lives.
My professional credentials…. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This means I have met recognised standards of professional training, and that I abide by a code of ethical practice, including having regular supervision with a senior member of the profession.

About my personal background .... Before training as a therapist, I worked as a university researcher in global health, and before that, in the UK Civil Service and in a human rights organisation. Beyond work, I love nature and the outdoors and am a keen walker, cyclist and swimmer. I've been doing yoga for over 20 years and have found it a great support in my own life so am very happy now to share it with others. I've also had my own personal therapy for many years, both in person and online, so I know something of the experience from your chair too!
